These past few weeks have been super hectic! Life is so crazy right now with holiday party planning to shopping for Christmas gifts to offering my services at my company bake sale- I need a vacation! I think we all tend to have a period where we go non-stop and overcommit to events! Anyhoo, that’s my mini rant. How have you all been? How’s the holiday season treating you so far? I feel like I’ve been MIA and completely disconnected with my blogging world that I’m making the utmost efforts to re-connect with you all again!
Today’s post features one of my favorite sweaters for the season which is a beautiful blush pink V neck sweater with a bow tie at the back! The material is lightweight yet so soft, and the back design is perfect for a sexy date night outfit during this sweater weather season. You can even wear a tank underneath if you want more layers. I decided to pair the outfit with these black ripped jeans and my go to booties and completed the overall look with these beautiful fringe earrings (just make sure that it doesn’t get hooked to your scarf or hat!).
I’m linking similar outfit details below:)
Happy Hump Day everyone!!! Hope you have a fantastic day! xoxo

Firstly, let me start off my apologizing for being MIA- my parents are in town and I’m been spending every minute of my free time with them (hence my lack of content!), and work has been extremely hectic (I recently went on a trip to California, so I’ll be sharing my travel post soon!).
Secondly, HAPPY FRIDAY to you all!!! I’m sure you all must have been yearning for the weekend, as have I! Friday feels got me feeling so jovial! And what better way to spread happiness than with this fun sweater with scalloped detail! The fit is true to size (I’m wearing a small), and paired with a pair of navy blue pants, this color POPS! It’s such a great color combination, and the scalloped edge at the bottom of the top gives such a unique element to the overall piece! Also- the fabric is super soft, and is PERFECT for these cold days (let me just take this moment to admit that sadly, fall weather is officially over, as Canada has experienced it’s first real snowfall for the season!). See below how I accessorized with beautiful gold dangling earrings- this sweater pairs beautifully with gold accessories, it really brings out the gold and yellow tones!
I’m linking where I got this must have sweater below, so if you’re interested, click the link below!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and stay warm friends! 🙂

Happy Tuesday loves!!
I hope that everyone has recovered from the weekend and is killing it at work this week! Today’s post covers this beautiful plaid skirt that I LOVE this fall season! The features are so flirty and fun and the plaid pairs perfectly with this grey coat- see photos for the full look 🙂
As the skirt is so short and loose fitting (the waist tie allows for a more rouged look), I thought that a fitted top would pair well, and I chose this long sleeved turtleneck top (size S)- who else loves turtlenecks?? They’re so cozy and keeps you warm all day long!
Let me know what you think of this look! I welcome and encourage your feedback 🙂
And be sure to follow me on Instagram @livinglissy so you never miss a post!
Have a great rest of your week ladies! xoxo

Hi loves!! Hope your week is going well, we’re almost at the weekend- hang in there! 🙂
I’m sharing a quick post of today’s outfit which follows the theme of this week’s office looks. I’m absolutely loving this black/white houndstooth skirt for the fall season- it’s the perfect length midi-skirt and the colour is neutral for the office. The material allows for some stretch with an elastic fitted band at the top, instead of a zip so it’s super easy to put on with no button/zipper to fumble with!
I paired this skirt with my go to V-neck black long sleeve bodysuit and finished the look with my black Aldo booties and a black belted coat (forgot the name of where I bought it years ago!).
I’m linking the skirt below as it’s my recent purchase, and I’ve linked a similar coat for you all!

Happy Hump Day friends!!
Today’s post features this super trendy bodycon midi-dress from Dynamite clothing. As you know, I was on vacation in Barbados (follow me on IG @livinglissy for travel photos!) and this dress (size XS) was the perfect resort wear for dinner. I paired it with these comfortable yet stylish brown wedges and of course a glass of Pinot Grigio- doesn’t it match so well with the color of the dress? 😉
My favourite features of this dress are the buttons and the slit at the front which gives for a slightly revealing look.
The best news is that this dress was under $50 when I purchased it but it’s currently 40% off at a price of only $30!!
Enjoy loves! xoxo

Happy Friday beauties!!! We finally made it throughout the week and I’m so excited to share this look with you all!
Today’s post features this cute floral outfit with which I’m currently obsessed!
This outfit is courtesy of Dynamite clothing- the ruffled shoulder top is so feminine and versatile that I love to pair it with skirts, shorts and even jeans! I’m wearing a size Small and it does fit quite snug, so bear this in mind if you decide to buy it!
The skirt (size small) is one of my spring/summer favourites!! The high waisted piece is comfortable, trendy, and has a perfect length (a factor to consider when I buy shorts/skirts, as I’m quite tall at 5’8!). The floral print with pastel pink colour just screams ‘SUMMER’, don’t you think?! I also love the white detailing of the flowers, and how the cute bow ties at the side 🙂
I paired the outfit with my favourite and most comfortable nude sandals from Call it Spring and completed the look with soft pink and gold jewelry and blush pink sunglasses from Forever 21.
I decided to complement this kit with one of my go to handbags- this gorgeous pink frill handbag is a staple for spring and summer time! It’s lightweight, has pockets inside, includes a zip to close (very important to me!) and gives for a dainty and feminine look!
See below for the outfit looks, and do share your comments below! 🙂
Talk soon! xoxo
Happy Canada Day loves!
I hope your weekend was fantastic! We celebrated the Canada Day long weekend with friends and family, and what a fun-filled and beautiful weekend it was! The weather was amazing with sunny skies and tropical vibes! 🙂
Yesterday, I went to a friend’s BBQ and wore this stylish, and of course, patriotic outfit and just had to share with you! I wore a loose fitting white off the shoulder crop top which I tucked into these trendy and super comfortable high waisted bright red shorts. Both the top and shorts are from Dynamite clothing, and the sizes that I chose were perfect for a relaxed fit (see below for size info). I paired the outfit with white sandals from Call it Spring and I completed the look with these absolutely adorable and affordable earrings from Claire’s (see photo 2 for a close up look). As tassel earrings are in right now, I thought these were perfect for the occasion!!
See below for all outfit details and let me know what you think of the looks! 🙂
– Off the shoulder crop top- Colour: White (size S): $39.95
– Structured shorts- Colour: Tango red (size XS): $34.95
– White and red tassel earrings: $4.51
The next day we headed to the beach and I wore this bright red bathing suit which also matched perfectly with the earrings!
La Vie en Rose:
– Off the shoulder red top (size S): $42.95
– Sunglasses: Carrera
That’s all for now beauties. I’d love to hear stories about how many of you spent your Canada Day celebrations, so feel free to share your photos! 🙂
Talk to you soon!
Hello beautiful people!
Spring has finally sprung, and I for one am beyond elated! This week’s weather was warmly received as Torontonians were strutting their stuff in shorts and sunglasses, with a clear indication that winter was nothing but a bitter memory, which we endured tortuously, thanks to an extended winter season (snow storms in April?! Mother Nature surely didn’t follow seasonal protocol this time around).
This weekend I plan on doing a much needed and long overdue bout of Spring cleaning! I must confess that I frequently experience separation anxiety when faced with the difficult question of whether or not I should part with an article of clothing, which hasn’t been worn in over 3 years, although maybe someday it’ll be perfect if I ever need to paint a room (mind you, I’ve never done such a thing, but one can never be too prepared!). Now, while I do agree with the notion of donating items which hasn’t seen the outside of a closet in over 2 years, I do think that certain items can be revamped with a little touch of creativity (I’ll do another blog on my post-spring cleaning experience and share what I’ve decided to keep, not hoard- after all, vintage is a style!). In the meantime, however, I’d like to spring forward to this new chic outfit that I’ll be rocking this Spring/Summer!
This light colored outfit creates a happy and fresh look that represents Spring fashion! I’m wearing a pair of white Levi’s jeans, paired with a beautiful blue and white striped off the shoulder top from Dynamite, which gives for a relaxed yet comfortable feel. I decided to incorporate a third colour into this outfit with a brown thin belt (Aldo Accessories), brown wedge heels (Call it Spring) a brown chunky handbag from Michael Kors. I wore gold jewellery to finish this look- I’ve always loved infinity pendants, and I absolutely adore minimalist jewellery, so this chain is the perfect combination of both styles! I got it at a Christmas trade show in Toronto (unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the vendor, but I will give credit to the One of a Kind Show which showcases handmade products from talented artists and craftspeople across the nation- so show your support and shop local!) Btw- isn’t the city art absolutely stunning- I’m in love the wall art and the architecture, which screams urban living!
What do you think about this look and what are some of your favorite spring styles this year? Comment below! 🙂
I’ve accumulated so many outfits which I can’t wait to wear for Spring/Summer, and need to find an event just to showcase them! We usually tend to buy an outfit for an event, but I’m changing it up a bit and doing the complete opposite! Does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me. Hmm, do I really have a shopping problem? Food for thought now….

Enjoy your weekend! 🙂
