Fashion & Travel- Wednesdays are for Waterfalls!

Wednesdays are for Waterfalls!

Hi loves!

Happy mid-week pump- or hump day I should say! 😀

I decided to take the day to re-connect with Mother Nature and visited one of my favourite waterfalls in Milton- Hilton Falls! Some days you just need to take a break from the busy life and go to your happy place- and fortunately, the waterfalls is my happy place 🙂

I’ve linked all visitor information above which includes details such as park fee, hours of operation, activities at the park (such as hiking, lighting a bonfire and cylcling through the trails) and so much more!

Today’s outfit features my most worn MEC outdoor wear. This rain jacket is perfect for those mornings when you want to go outdoors, but the temperature is slightly brisk. When the air is too cool, I whip out my MEC jacket, because not only is the hard shell water resistant, but it acts as a wind breaker, is super lightweight and has an adjustable hood. As I bought this jacket 3 years ago, I’m linking a similar lightweight rain jacket

The backpack featured in my photo is actually called a Daypack by the Black Diamond brand- the lightweight material allows for those essential items you’d like to take on your trip, but without the hassle of carrying a bulky backpack. Daypacks are perfect for long distances while hiking when you need to pack extremely light. The material is water resistant, straps are adjustable and features clips to ensure that the pack is strapped against you. I used this pack every single day while hiking in South America and it is truly one of my favourite backpacks! I’m linking a few similar Daypacks here:

Black Diamond Magnum 16 Daypack – Unisex

Black Diamond Bullet 16 Pack – Unisex

Black Diamond Nitro 26 Daypack – Unisex

Of course, you can’t go hiking without a proper pair of hiking shoes, however, as this trail is considered easy-medium, I wore my Dr. Scholls sneakers. Although not specifically designed for hiking, these sneakers are so versatile and provide such great comfort (trust me- I got zero blisters while walking!) with a considerable amount of grip to prevent any slips! As the pair I’m wearing is no longer in stock, I’m linking a similar item which is just as affordable and comfortable, and it’s sustainable (BONUS!) called the Herzog Sustainable Sneaker

That’s it for now folks- hope you enjoyed today’s post and as always, be sure to subscribe so you stay connected and receive all my latest posts! 🙂

Have a wonderful day and we’ll chat soon! xoxo
